Budget Results & Town Hall

Every December, we present our budget asks to UBCO's executive team. We recently received our results for the upcoming fiscal year, and we did very well. We are looking forward to sharing the details with you at the first annual CORM Town Hall.

The Town Hall will take place in the spring and will provide information about budget results, updates from the CORM departments, and an opportunity to ask questions of the leadership team. A short report will be circulated before the Town Hall for those of you who would like to prepare questions in advance.

Snacks will be provided. In addition to the Q&A session, a suggestion box will be available for any feedback you may have.

Welcome new staff

We are excited to announce that in January and February, we welcomed two new staff members to the CORM team:

Brad Hitchman, Security Communications Co-ordinator: Brad Hitchman has joined the security Dispatch office. In his past life, he was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces, having served with the Royal Canadian Regiment in the Middle East. More recently, he worked for Securigard here at UBCO. His outstanding performance and positive personality supporting the campus community in that role eventually got him hired into his current job.

Shelley McConkey, Facilities Administrative Assistant: Shelley joins the Facilities Management team from ESD Simulation Training, where she was an office manager for 6 years. She grew up in Vernon, lived in Vancouver for 11 years, and then returned home. She is a mom and a camper, and enjoys watching sports and walking her Labradoodle “Andie”.

We're excited to have Brad and Shelley on board. Please join us in welcoming them to the CORM team.

Sincerely,

Shelley Kayfish
Director, Campus Operations & Risk Management
